I have a really big family (6 aunts and uncles, 11 cousins!) and we used to visit my grandparents every Sunday at their farm outside of Walnut Grove, MO.
What advice would you give students about choosing a college?
Choosing a college is a big decision – make sure you take the time to explore your options, and start planning early. Think about what you’d like to study, how far from home you’re comfortable going, what kinds of opportunities you’d like outside of the classroom, and financial aid or scholarship options to help cover the costs.
What were your favorite activities or organizations in college and why?
My favorite activity in college was volunteering in the community. My favorite place to volunteer was the Rainbow House!
What makes Columbia College different?
Columbia College has all of the great aspects of a small college, set in a lively college town. Students are able to receive personalized attention from their instructors and get to know their classmates well, while also being able to take advantage of all of the career opportunities and recreational activities Columbia has to offer!
