What are some of your favorite things to do in Columbia? One of my favorite things to do in Columbia is to walk around the downtown area.  Everyone is friendly and it is always a good time. There are so many things a person can do; I really like catching a movie at Ragtag Cinema and eating at any of the restaurants.

Favorite outdoor activity: I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors.  I have 3 dogs that I spend a lot of time taking to the numerous trails around the Columbia, Missouri area.  When I am not outside with my dogs, I am playing just about any kind of sport or watching them at the wide variety of places around Columbia.

People would be surprised to know that... I used to live on a farm and ride horses everywhere.  I was basically a cowboy…

What advice would you give students about choosing a college?  When you are choosing a college make sure to visit the campus because it allows you to see the college on a normal day. While looking for colleges I was initially planning on going to a larger school because it just seemed like the thing to do. Then I visited Columbia College.  I decided to go Columbia College after the visit because I was able to see how incredibly nice the professors, staff, and students were.  Also, the campus is absolutely beautiful in the spring!

What were your favorite activities or organizations in college and why? My favorite activities in college were going to the many sporting events on campus.  Seeing all of the students cheer on Columbia College’s teams is a great experience that was so much fun.

What makes Columbia College different? The one on one attention that you receive from the professors is fantastic.  A student in a class at Columbia College is not just a number in the books.  The professors are successful in their careers and truly love to educate and inspire students every day.
